Construction of Outdoor Cable Housing System

Because of the site conditions the expansion of the electrical supply system of the ALCOA-KÖFÉM Kft. plant made it necessary to design and implement an above ground cable housing system. During the implementation, the opportunity of the usability of an outdoor unused crane track to perform as the supporting structure of the cable housing came to limelight.

We performed the preliminary examination of the available information concerning the geometric and conditional characteristics of the crane track. Then we designed the implementation work of the partial disassembly of the crane track elements and the structural transformation. The planning included the construction design of the transformation of certain steel structures, and the connected monolith reinforced concrete foundations. We performed the static design of more monolith reinforced concrete pits and drain system in order to be able to install the cable system under the ground.
